The participants in this study (50-65-year-old men and women) are randomly recruited from the Swedish Population and Address Register.

SCAPIS will recruit and investigate approximately 30,000 men and women aged 50 to 64 years with detailed imaging and functional analyses of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
